The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) today (11/20/2013) released its final rule to combine overlapping federal disclosure forms required by the Truth in Lending Act and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act. A new Closing Disclosure will replace the HUD-1 and final TIL disclosure, while a Loan Estimate will replace the GFE and early TIL. The CFPB announced the new forms must be implemented by Aug. 1, 2015.  Access the new rule by clicking here.  (It is a large file and will take a little while to load.)
