Don't forget to make your hotel room reservation! Call the Cornhusker Hotel at 1-866-706-7706. Identify yourself with Nebraska Land Title Association to get the rate of $109, plus taxes. Make your reservation prior to SEPTEMBER 2 when the room block will be released.
NLTA is now "paperless" with convention education materials. Instead of a paper bound copy of a notebook, you will have access to all the session handouts about two weeks in advance of the event. These can be printed and brought to the convention in paper format or on your computer/tablet device. If you plan to use electronic devices, we suggest you bring them to the event fully charged.
*EDUCATION HOURS: The Annual Education Program on September 18 has been submitted to the Nebraska Department of Insurance for 6 hours of Continuing Education (CE) credit for title insurance agents, to the Nebraska Abstracters Board of Examiners for 3 hours of Board Approved “Professional Development Credits”, and to the Nebraska Bar Association for up to 5.5 hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE). In addition, 3 hours of Ethics CE for title agents has been requested from the NDOI and 2.5 hours of Professional Responsibility for attorneys from the Bar for the Fall Ethics Program on September 19. To obtain any of these credit hours, you must attend the program in its entirety. There is no credit for partial attendance of any of the sessions.
CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION / FILED CREDITS: If you have attended the full program(s) and provided your correct National Producers Number (NPN) / Certificate of Registration / Bar identification numbers on the registration form, credit will be filed electronically for your attendance with the Nebraska Dept. of Insurance and the Nebraska Bar Association. An attempt will be made to have your certificate of completion for the Abstracters’ Professional Development available at the end of the program. If not available then, it will be mailed to you within ten days. If a registrant needs a certificate sooner than ten days after the program, please inform us as soon as possible.
ATTENDANCE / PROOF: In order to meet some of the requirements of proof of attendance, you will be asked to sign Attendance Sheets that will be passed around the room at random times during the session. We ask your cooperation in returning from breaks and lunches promptly; and you must be present during the scheduled session times in order to earn continuing education credit.
CELL / MOBILE PHONES: Cell phone use will not be permitted in the meeting room. Your cooperation is expected and appreciated. If you leave the session to take a phone call, you may not earn continuing education credit for the session. PLEASE TURN YOUR PHONE OFF OR TO SILENT MODE.
VIDEOTAPING / PHOTOGRAPHY: Please be aware that NLTA will be videotaping during the conference, as well as taking photographs, and attendees may appear in the captured video and/or photographs. By submitting a registration for yourself or someone else, or by attending the event, you grant permission for NLTA to store those photographs/tapes in a database and to use those photographs/tapes in future print, electronic or other visual media. If you do not wish to grant permission, please contact the NLTA Executive Director prior to attending the event.
REFUNDS: NLTA will refund your paid registration fee, minus a $25 processing fee, if your written notice of cancellation is received by September 5. After September 5, there are no cash refunds; but another person may be substituted for a registration.
