The Association utilizes an Education
Committee to plan, organize, promote and be responsible for the
of a constantly improving program of continuing education. Current in-person
annual programming includes a spring conference (one day) and fall
convention with annual education (one day). Nebraska licensed title insurance agents and
abstracters can earn mandatory continuing education hours by
attending either of these programs. NLTA programs are also now
submitted to the Nebraska Bar Association for approval as Continuing
Legal Education (CLE) for Nebraska attorneys.
FUTURE IN-PERSON EDUCATION DATES/LOCATIONS:
2017 - March 24, 2017 - Spring Conference: Nebraska City - Lied Lodge & Conference Center
- September 20-22, 2017 - Convention & Annual Meeting: Kearney - Holiday Inn (Ethics will be offered on Friday, Sept. 22)
Have an idea for a seminar or convention session? Let anyone on the Education Committee know, or email the Executive Director!
NLTA also offers
an ongoing Pre-Licensing self-study program that meets the statutory
requirement for prelicensing hours. (The materials can be ordered
through our Online Store.)
FOUNDATION TITLE SCHOOL
We are proud to announce the addition of a Foundation Title School to our educational programming. As it's name implies, this one-day program with additional resources is designed for the person new to the land title industry. The full day of training, scheduled for Monday, June 19, 2017 will broaden an individual's knowledge base and promote accuracy of the land title services and products. The goal is that students leave informed and aligned with the highest measure of proficiency. As an added value, title agencies may be able to streamline their own training efforts by sending employees to our classes. Another result may be a uniform, consistent standard of high workmanship. The first workshop will be held at the Holthus Convention Center in York, Nebraska, and registration will be open the first week of April.
