Through its Legislative Committee and lobbyist, the Nebraska Land Title Association reviews every single bill that is introduced each Nebraska legislative session. Bills that are of concern to the land title industry and how our members perform their responsibilities are closely monitored, supported or opposed. Our leadership works closely with public agencies, other associations and groups to be sure that Nebraska legislation serves the consumer as well as the industry.

On a national level, land title professionals can sign-up for the Title Action Network ("TAN") to promote national initiatives. TAN is provided by the American Land Title Association, and is focused on ensuring state and federal
legislators and regulators understand the value of the land title industry.
NLTA's POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE in Action!
Request for NLTA PAC Funds: Candidates must complete a Questionnaire - click here to download form.
NLTA needs to improve its ability to get favorable legislative action on bills. The Political Action Committee needs its member’s help. When
a member becomes aware of a candidate for the legislature that is supportive of the land title industry, the member can give the questionnaire to the candidate and offer to provide funds to the candidate from the NLTA PAC. The
member or candidate can send the completed form to NLTA's Executive
Director and then the PAC Committee will process it as a request for
funds. Upon approval of the request, the member can deliver the funds personally to the candidate.
NLTA PAC Treasurer
Effective January 1, 2015, Maria Totten of Omaha became NLTA's PAC Treasurer; and the Board thanks her for her service.
